I tinkered with Python very early on in it's development and was not very
impressed, however, I was also very early in my development so that could
be partly why. Perhaps I will look at it again.
And just to clarify, I don't think Windows is superior or that Linux is
superior overall. I think both have some aspects that beat each other out.
For instance, Windows is a much better platform to develop for if you want
to reach a broad audience. Linux is much better for running services due to
it's stability and flexibility in packaging.

Have you spent time with Python? AFAICT, the Python community actually
has more Windows developers than Linux developers, so support for
Windows is abundant. I know of many brilliant people in the Python
community who feel, like you, that Windows is superior to Linux in deep
ways. You needn't feel alone. :-)
