Wow, you have been busy! I will try a full rebuild and test too.

For me:
   1. There is still a problem with "aiccu": it crashes (silently) when
run as a daemon. I know that kp has the same issue. I am working on this
myself today so hopefully I will have this fixed in a few hours.
   2. I find that shorewall (and shorewall6) will not start
automatically as part of the boot process. Error message is:
    ...
    Shorewall configuration compiled to /var/lib/shorewall/.start
    sh: Processing: invalid number
    sh: /etc/shorewall/params: invalid number
    Processing /etc/shorewall/params ...
    Usage: /var/lib/shorewall/.start [ options ] [ start|stop|clear|
down|reset|refresh|restart|status|up|version ]
   ...
   Running "shorewall start" manually once the rest of the boot process
has completed works OK.
   3. We still need to support multiple kernel variants, don't we (Geode
etc.)?
