Gradel worked very hard, yes. But there wasn't much end result from him. I'm not comparing Parker to super cooper or the like, merely comparing him to macarthy - he's not good enough, sorry. The other thing that was quite annoying, we were constantly out muscled on the ball, which meant we never held the ball up and got forward to put pressure on them enough. Not being a harbrinher of doom, just realistic as to where we need to improve to kick on.

The telly showed Steve Bruce in the stands - I wonder if Schmeichel pere

As for Paynter, it wasn't that he exactly looked unfit, but he had the
"steroid-puffed-up-flabby" look that I remember as almost a trademark of the debt collectors when I worked in the rag trade in Bow - maybe it was just
his tattoos...........

Parker was actually better than I expected. I think we always measure up our left backs to Cooper and Dorigo so that when I get to see them, they are
never quite so bad as the list would have us believe ;)

Gradel was indeed immense. As were others. We're not far away from a good
team now....

, Schmeichel was superb and I don't care if his Dad was a
Man U legend, I love that passion.

1.Paynter is fucking rubbish.
2.Parker, points a lot, runs backwards a lot but doesn't do much tackling
3. Gradel is a human dynamo
