You are totally entitled to your opinion, as I am. I was a bit pissed after the game so didn't have the brain power for a detailed review. Even after losing bets and having luci as our top scorer all season, you can't even give the guy the slightest respect, same with all the hate figures you've had over the years, its predicable if a tad boring. We didn't concede, true, but Reading got what they came for and never really put our 70 yr old centre back combination under much pressure in the first half IMHO because Livermore and Johnson did an excellent covering job. When Killa came on the game opened up more and both they and us had more chances. All in all a good performance if we were still in the top 6, but in the context of needing to win, not so good. I think we would have been better with becchio leading the line. as for the 442/451 debate, still think the later suits us better cos we can play snoddy and gradel in that formation and the facts show that luci is a better target man than Paynter or Somma. I still trust Grayson to know what is best with the resources he has. 451 got us to where we are, changing to an untested formation smacks of desperation. We had 10 shots on target, which I reckon 8 where when Paynter was on,, but I dont think he had one of them? I'd love him to succeed as I do with ALL players who put on the White shirt, but until he shows he can do it at this level we've got to keep with someone who can. I thought Lichaj had another good game and is probably the best of the loanees we had recently. The crowd were quiet until the closing stages.
