But I wasn't watching so much as being an impartial observer and not a
hopeful supporter. Or in fact not a supporter at all.
We huffed and puffed with very little real class.Due to the changes in
personnel which Grayson made to solve the very problem ( a ridiculously porous
defence) which we have all (you included) have been bemoaning for months.
They got what they wanted and set out todo. We didn't. Yes we
did...............up to a point. We set out first and foremost to keep a clean
sheet against a rampant opposition (formwise). Grayson knew he was emasculating
our attacking threat to a certain extent, but accepted that tradeoff. The idea
was to gor for a 1-0 win rather than one of these insane 5-2 affairs we have
been involved in................and we came close enough to grabbing that one
goal to say that it was a successful decision.
Pure conjecture but if we had scored I was convinced they would have
equalised almost at will. Pure ( and stupidly negative) conjecture-

What is this saying about our manger?Yeah.............get real. It is a sad
reflection of the state of English football, but Championship sides now are
partly functioning as nursery clubs for the top teams. The latter need to have
30-odd players on their books, including several promising youngsters, but they
can't afford to give them all any first team games. All the top sides in our
division have got loanees from the top of the PL who are making a huge
difference...............Norwich have Lansbury from Arsenal, Pacheco from
Liverpool..............Swansea have got some shit-hot kid from Tottenham or
Arsenal.............Cardiff have got Bellamy.............etc. We would be very
stupid not to get involved in such a system, however much we may not like it.
Even more so when so many players disappear from the radar with no real
reason. The attitude to our Aussie mid fielder is bewildering. Why has Bruce
become passé ?Hello? Have you seen our results recently?
How many players have we picked up on frees that were doing well in their
original team and disappear here?I don't know. I can't think of any. Tell
us...............and try and get their names right if you can. Bessone, I
suppose.
How many players have improved on signing them? Becchio, Snodgrass, Gradel,
Kilkenny, Connolly, Lichaj,
