It's no coincidence, it was the same last season. Grayson dropped Killkenny and tinkered with the midfield with the result that form dropped. Once Kilkenny was back in the team form picked up again.

IMHO Killkenny is class at this level. We don't have any other midfielder who works as hard and is always available for the pass. He's a footballers footballer. By that I mean he makes life easier for his team mates by always providing an outlet and then looking to use it intelligently. I think a lot of fans don't appreciate this type of player because they do not do the things that grab the attention, such as a bit of dazzling skill or scoring a screamer.

His problem is he needs to be match fit to be on form so when he does get a chance after being out for a while he can be ineffective for a game or two. Easy solution for me, don't drop him, he should be first on the team sheet anyway.

I think Bannen was a very similar player but he's young and still a bit lightweight. I would say he needs to get in the gym, sink a few protein shakes and have a full season in the Championship to toughen him up. A very good prospect though who didn't look out of place when playing for the Jocks against Brasil. I would like to see us sign him in the summer but I doubt Villa will let him go. It would be interesting to see him and Killkenny in the same team.

Si.

We lost 12 games in this campaign:

Do you remember:

Preston 4-6
Cardiff 0-4
Cardiff 1-2 Sheff Utd 0-2
Leicester 1-2
Millwall 2-3
Palace 0-1

That's 7 defeats that all have one thing in common - Kilkenny didn't start in them. Against Cardiff we were starting with Andy Faye in preference - joke decisions.

Come on, it just can't be a coincidence.
