48% socialist dream to make uni attainable. Good motives but like Arsenal you can expand but if the product is getting worse people wont pay or come and you end up filling it with freebies.
I'm in vocational education anyway so I would like to see uni places capped at 25% and the rest put into useful "skills for the modern economy" as we call it. It is a sad day when the kazakhs star calling our unis crap! -----Original Message----- From: leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org [mailto:leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org] On Behalf Of Richard Naef Sent: 16 September 2011 12:38 To: leedslist@gn.apc.org Subject: Re: [LU] nonLU: bored? > >Universities are getting easier. I'd guess the fees increase is by far a greater disincentive than any perceived reduction in standards. Indeed using the international standards our uni's still kick everyone else into a cocked hat proportionally to our intake and population. Even in secondary education the standards are rising, its just that other countries are rising more quicklyier ttfn Richard _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org MARCHING ON TOGETHER (There's it) ----- No virus found in this message.
