Bad argument, I think that Tescos have just issued a profit warning because
of their diversification ;)

However you could say that Woolworths were a successful business for 150+
years (I think). That easily beats all the incarnations of Leeds football
club put together. Indeed we'd probably all be dead by the time Leeds
ultimately "failed" on the same timeline as Woolworths.

PS the property aspect of Woolworths failure cannot be overstated - all the
more reason for Mr Bates to maximise returns on the LU property portfolio ;)
