----- Original Message ----- Are you seriously saying you have no idea who owns ER? GFH has said a priority is buying back ER and TA and coincidentally Bates gets to stay. Would you invest in bricks and mortar for a property you didn't own? Our money has been used to develop facilities which can now be sold at a better price to GFH.
Whatever the other merits of what you are arguing may be, how does anybody sell ER at a higher price than produced by the pre-set buyback formula ? This does not apply to the Pavilion of course. Also it is normal commercial practice to spend money on your place of business (that you normally do not own) if the investment improves the business more than it costs you to do it. What worries me is that in addition to whatever Bates has been paid for the club he appears to be passing on nearly 20 million in debt at the same time. I regard 100% of the money paid to Bates as being money that could otherwise have been used to develop the club itself. Damned parasite. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
