Ok, here's my opinion of Rioja. I'm no expert, but for me Rioja is such a 
strong taste that you either like it or not. I have a mate who loves Spain who 
reckons that when you get above £20 for a bottle of Rioja the tastes start to 
get complex and subtle. Never spent that much mysen so can't comment but you're 
Rioja's in supermarkets / wine shops are just too samey for me.

As for Luke Varney, he ain't got enough about him to compare to a bottle of 
Rioja from Aldi.
