agreed, however I do think that the honeymoon period is over and I think there
are a few fundamentals that we need to look at.
I thought we were rubbish today and when we're making Barry Bannan look like
Messi due to giving him all the space in the world I think it's worrying.
The tactics are suspect, with Lasogga just isolated on his own and in midfield
our 2 battlers Philips and O'Kane showed what they are - very basic ,
pedestrian footballers. The worst thing that Phillips could have done this
season is score some goals because I actually think his performances haven't
been good. As for O'Kane, I've never rated him and at best I think he's an
average , no frills , 10 yard ball man. Together they are not going to take us
where we want to be.
I think the keeper, who actually saved us from a real spanking is not a
championship keeper i.e. someone who can control his box.
We are not good enough to play tippy tappy football at the back. Look at their
3rd, and O'Kane trying to play a little chip from inside his box. Madness and I
think this is direction from the management in that we should be looking to
play football with every pass but we need players who can pass - some of our
players find that difficult.
Very frustating and totally ruined my weekend but I think the worst thing is I
think the bubble has burst and the optimism gone. All our wins have come
against the shite teams.
