Today I don't think Wednesday pressed as much at all and especially not our
goalie when we had the ball. They were letting us play out. It really was that
first goal we crumbled and they started playing like Barcelona.
Disagree a bit with Rich, Bannon has always looked a player to me.

It's hard to disagree with Pontus's remarks in the Guardian - we were
out-muscled in midfield. Can't see how Vieira didn't get a chance ahead of
Phillips - yes, Phillips started the season better than expected, but he wasn't
the player to anchor a midfield away to a local rival.
Also, teams seem to have caught on to the fact that we will always try to play
the ball square for someone else to take it on, like we're a sodding rugby
league team or something, so if they press us we're screwed. But I'm going to
lay most of the blame on Weidwald, whose awful 'keeping allowed the first goal
and then unnerved the defence.
