We can add Ľubomír Michalík to the list of Central Defenders who were good on
loan (in the Championship at the end of 2006/7) but rubbish once signed
permanently (in League One up 2010, though mostly on the bench in his latter
days). Possibly the only one to look worse despite the fact we were in a lower
division by the time he was a permanent signing. For such a tall man he never
seemed that dominant in the air.
