I did say that O'Kane did try and get things going second half and he was the
one chosen by TC to sit deep alongside the centre backs in an attempt to make
the system work. So yes credit to him because he was actually the one also
breaking through to try a few shots. What does that say though about his
partner Phillips ? TC obviously didn't see him doing that job from the back so
I'm not sure what Phillips is doing in that system ?
I think the first step is to give Vierra a run in Philips's position and as you
say this may complement O'Kane better. I do worry though that Vierra has been
left out for so long it may take a match or two to get into his stride and at
this moment in time we don't have that luxury. A few defeats really do put
everyone under pressure and we are looking to a leader and I'm not sure we've
got one on that pitch.
O'Kane though is never going to be better than an average midfielder in this
league. That can get you promoted if players around him are helping him and
pushing him to play above his level but I would suggest he's not a midfielder
that's going to take us up. Compare to Aaron Mooy.
I think there's an argument to try Vierra and Klitch or Vierra and Anita in
that midfield pairing. I think Anita could bring some simplicity and control to
the midfield. Ok he may get ovverrun but with Vierra doing most of the leg work
that pairing could work. I haven't written Klitch off yet, I think he was
unfortunate with his mistake at Cardiff which appears to be the start of the
rot but I think he's a good passer and he knows how to play but I think he
needs to sharpen up and he'll only do that playing games.
Tough times and decisions for TC.

Quick thoughts:
Disagree a bit with Rich. I thought O’Kane was the only one who tried the whole
game and who tried to string defense to attack. I like him. Just needs a strong
partner so he can push forward a bit. That would be Viera.
Phillips: slow, thick and uninspiring. Third or fourth division player.
Hernandez: stuck out on the wing all the time. He is not a winger. No pace but
bright and skillful. But we have one of those on Saiz so a conundrum. What to
do?
Roofe; scored a bunch as a forward do why do we play him as a winger/ outside
mid?
