Just watched most of the u23s game away at Ipswich and was impressed for the
most part as we won 3 2 in a good performanceSam Dalby got the first two and
Machuka the other and certainly at times we looked goodThe first goal was set
up by a good run by jack Clarke and then the ball moved on by Denton to Dalby
who finished well 0 1Then a replica of the Sheff Wed winner put us two up as a
long ball over the top was well controlled by Dalby who stood up strong v the
defender and finished well
Then this being Leeds we showed our usual frailty as a near post corner was
headed in (think PML when he ran to the near post - cant recall the oppo)We did
then go right up to the other end and got the 2 goal lead restored as another
long ball down the wing led to Machuka taking it in his stride, running with it
and slotting home from the corner of the box
We looked comfortable but let them back in when O'Connor was skinned and
another defender slipped over in the box leaving their lad with an easy goal
We did continue to press and saw the game out
Dalby looked decent and a big unit - some on twitter calling him Chris Wood
MkIIJack Clarke and Del Roi (sp?) looked good tooOverall we looked a decent
side especially going forward
Not sure if this means any of them are ready for the first team BUT what have
we got to lose ? Let Heck throw the best of them into the fray for the next few
games and let them sink or swim ?  As I said after saturday we need to let
Pearce keep his place irrespective of how he played v Sheff Wed
Fair play to Cordoba (?) and the u23 staff and players, we have certainly made
progress as the season has gone on and showed a lot of improvement both as a
team (and results) and individually as players have got used to the game in
this country
