You might want to run your computer through the paces at www.pcpitstop.com. Last time I was there you could still do all the tests without registering, you just cannot save your results for future comparison.

For those who are getting random crashes of Windows itself (like when you cannot Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart), two frequent causes are heat buildup (so open the computer occasionally and clean it out with compressed air) or bad RAM. The program Memtest86+ is valuable to determine if you have had a RAM chip go bad. It is available at http://www.memtest.org/

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Blank Screens

I too have followed this with interest as I have been having a stack of
problems with Legacy since the last update actually.

For no reason the icons on the screen will black out and I will lose the
text in the "names" panel and then when I click on a person the name is also missing. At first it was once or twice a week now it is sometimes 3 times a
day, like today. Normally I will persevere: close the program and reopen
and all is good, but lately I have had to restart my computer each time
which is driving me nuts.

Maybe I am developing a memory problem? not sure, I used to be able to run
several programs with legacy running, but now I run it on it's own since
this problem is intensifying.

Just thought I would let you know your not isolated, it's also good to know
I'm not :)
