You may be a victim of what I consider poor programming (Note to self: ignore
all the flames from others here.) If you select "Backup File" from the menu or
as part of shutting down but fail to put a checkmark on anything (in other
words, nothing to backup), and then click on the Backup button, the dialog box
neatly disappears and, if you were exiting, the program closes without any
error message saying something to the effect "User Error --- I can't read
minds. Tell me what it is that you want to backup."

Subject: [LegacyUG] Failure to backup

I am having a persistent problem with Legacy failing to perform the back
up function. The backup dialog box comes up and I select backup.
Nothing happens and the program shuts down. Is there a memory problem?
Does Legacy latch onto Ram memory, and never let it go? I can easily do
a manual back up by copying my entire data file, but something seems
wrong here. Legacy had me do a reinstall and this seemed to solve the
problem for a day or two but it seems to be back. Any suggestions?
