Whereas I find the use of RINs (as part of the User ID) perfect for all
my filing needs and use them all the time for finding people in my file.
I never have any trouble with them getting "messed up". I don't add
people until I am very sure where they fit in so it's rare I have to
change a RIN on any of my paper files and if I do delete anyone it's
likely to be someone I have very little information on and I re-use the
RIN for the next new person.
