I sent in the following enhancement request this morning. Note that I added a second enhancement that I think will improve sourcing. Anything to decrease the number of pop-up but still maintain the functionality
------------------------------------ Add additional functions when add a source citation from the clipboard. Currently you can add a source to the current field, add to all used fields or add to unspecified field. A new option to 'Add Clipboard Source to All Used Fields except Events' would greatly enhance the Clipboard. The 3-bar Clipboard button is only usable if you have not added any events for a person. If the ability to add source to all fields except events was added, this would give us another 'shortcut' if we find a source citation (example Death certificate) that hit most fields but not events. This would decrease screen pop-ups . An additional suggestion would be to allow the 1-bar and 3-bar buttons (and if added, the suggested function above) to be 'right clicked' and skip the pop-up for the 'Source Citation Detail' window. If a right click was done, the program would just accept the Source Detail on the clipboard and assign it. This could also be done with a second column of buttons if right clicking wasn't desired. Note that right clicking is already used. You can right click the source clipboard button to select a saved clipboard source. This would again greatly reduce the number of pop-up windows and make the task of adding source citations easier. ----------------------------- Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
