You can download a Descendant Book Report (or any other Legacy report that provides an rtf format) and it will already be marked so you can automatically generate a Table of Contents and an Index in Word. You can then insert images, text from another Word file, etc. and regenerate your Table of Contents and Index (but you will have to mark the additions manually if you want them indexed). As far as PDF files, I think you'd have to use a program that will convert the format to text so that the info can be inserted, but at this point we're getting outside the realm of my experience.
