I have downloaded my database there. At the time it was a independent storage
facility. I was not interested in sending to Ancestry nor Family Tree Maker. I
have no info on the status of the various companies acquiring each other or
not. I found that the family I sent to One World Tree, when gedcomed, connected
my downloads to already existing 'cousins',
in their database. I then chose to not maintain month fees, and was locked out
to the people that I call existing 'cousins',  I have no problem with it, they
need to make money like the rest of us. The other problem I had with them,
which is why I left it, was that there were more 'errors' in OGF tham in the
1960-era LDS DB. (The LDS are doing great working to fix it) One
example (forgot the actual person) showed one ancestor in my line, with  over
250 descendants, including  about 20 Johns, with different birth date/place
combos. It took ne a whole day to merge the matches. The next day, the changes
corrected themselves back to the wrong data.
Since I had been looking for a cheap place to get my info 'on-line', my
relatives would never be able to sort out this mess.
It is a good service, and I will return some day.

Anyone know what One World Tree is on Ancestry? Someone said it has to do with
users uploading their family trees from Family tree maker, Is this true?
