That's funny cause the original post said:

It sure doesn't seem to have anything to do with creating a gedcom from
within Legacy.   In fact, Legacy wasn't even remotely mentioned until your
attempt to make it on-topic.   I thought the list rules said "related to the
use of Legacy Family Tree and its add-on programs, only. Please keep on
topic."

Create gedcom from within Legacy.
Upload gedcom file to Rootsweb/where ever...
Search other databases for your family members.
Update your Legacy family file or add to your research log or your To-Do
list. Add citations using appropriate source template for "online
databases".
