You should make a suggestion that Millennia revise the Legacy program to remove
the Research Guidance tab, along with all references to lineage linked database
sources which include "WorldConnect" (RootsWeb), Ancestry World Tree
(Ancestry.com), Kindred Konnections (MyTrees.com), Ancestral File
(FamilySearch.com), and several others that are all found on those tabs within
the Legacy program.

You might want to also suggest that any discussions or mentions of any of the
3rd party software programs that Millennia markets in conjunction with their
Legacy program or assists in the development of other program to read and
interpret the Legacy family file, should be banned if they are not a true
"add-on" program for Legacy. These would include, the new Families app for the
iPhone and other iDevices, and many more listed on the Legacy web site.

OK, let's stop and take a deep breath. (Sarcasm is now turned off.) :-)
I only wrote those suggestions above to show that the Legacy program itself
already includes those areas which you think are "off topic". Actually I myself
thought that the recent threads of messages pertaining to the iPhone app
"Families" was starting to cross the line of being off topic. But let's
remember, Millennia worked in conjunction with the developers of the Families
app and this Legacy forum is their sandbox. I've learn to tolerate occasional
short threads on topics that are only vaguely related to Legacy and not just to
the internal use of Legacy.

On a more serious note, "related to the use of Legacy" should mean more than
JUST how do I do something in the Legacy program, "click this button, select
this item", etc. Those answers are usually found in the HELP file or the
tutorial training videos. Additional questions or discussions about how to use
your Legacy data to interface with the rest of the world to either share your
data or to accomplish additional research are the heart of any genealogical
program. After all, Legacy like all other genealogy programs is really a
research tool and a generator of structured information. That's why you see
Report generating capabilities and Web page creation from within the program.
And that's why you see things like the Research Guidance tab in Legacy. A lot
of work has gone into this tab (probably more than the database portion of the
program). Anyone that has not yet bothered to visit this tab, should try it.
You'll be amazed at how complicated it is.
