Since there has been extensive discussion on this list about the various parts
of FamilySearch without people crying "off topic," perhaps the following
information will be helpful (and forgiven):

There are currently two places (or perhaps technically three) one can upload
their family trees from Legacy to Ancestry:

Rootsweb's WorldConnect Project, where they can be viewed by anyone for free.

Ancestry's Public (or Private) Member Trees, where they can only be viewed by
paying members.  If you set the tree to Private, others can see the names in
the index, but not the details.

There is also the older Ancestry World Tree, but as best as I can determine, it
no longer allows new uploads.

One World Tree is/was a computer program that automatically "stitched" together
data from Ancestry World Trees.  Because a computer decided if people/families
"matched," it can be even more erroneous than other online "family trees."

Ancestry members can individually search each of these family tree databases
(along with some even older ones) by going to the Ancestry site and clicking on
Search> Public Member Trees then clicking on the link on the right-hand side
All Family Trees in the Card Catalog.
