If I understand you correctly, you have entered fairly general Death Certificate information as a Master Source and are entering specific details such as Certificate No and Year in the Source Details fields. This is the correct way to work. Now, if you wish to cite the same Death Certificate in several different places, you should use the Source Clipboard to copy and then paste the full Citation (Master Source and Detail.) When you click on the Source Clipboard Copy icon you will get a confirmation pop-up which will remind you that the Source you are copying has Source Details included which will also be copied. When you later wish to use the Death Certificate Master Source, but with different Source Details (ie a different Death Certificate), select the Master Source in the usual way and then add the new Details. Then you can again use the Source Clipboard to repeat that Citation as required. If you are not familiar with the use of the Source Clipboard the Help file will tell you everything you need to know.
