I figured that it might have something to do with the LDS site not being ready for the public.
As for the email, I still have it, but I don’t know if I’m allowed to repost it on this list since it has graphics. I will post a blurb from it: From: FamilyLink.com [[email protected]]) Subject: Celebrate Your Heritage This Season - Save 33% on Legacy Family Tree Software “We have partnered with Legacy Family Tree to bring you the complete genealogy package! First, find your ancestors on FamilyLink. Second, record, manage, and print your findings using the Legacy 7.4 FamilyLink Deluxe Edition software.” From: Paul Brodsky [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, December 22, 2010 2:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy Now Partnered With FamilyLink "partner" could mean lots of things. Do you happen to still have the original email? Also, with regards to Legacy and LDS Familysearch.org; this may not be the issue you are running into but it doesn't work for me either. However, the reason it doesn't work is because (as I understand it) the current version of Legacy only works with the New Familysearch.org (https://new.familysearch.org). However, currently that version of their site is only open to LDS members and it not yet open to the general public. Right now, the website just reads "General public. Look for a future announcement when you will have access to new.familysearch.org." It's been that way for at least a couple of months now. Some additional information on new.familysearch.org: http://www.familysearch.org/eng/affiliates/index.html You will note that Legacy is on their list so hopefully good things are coming.
