Dear Forum members,

I have had several problems with the Legacy program after changing over to
Windows7. Most of these I have managed to solve one way or the other.

One problem persists and I would ask for some advise and suggestions from
the learned panel of experts.

A large number of pictures have not been located by the program. These are
pictures of BMD certificates and census documents, which were attached to
the relevant event on an individuals' page.

If the picture is highlighted, then a question mark occurs, asking whether
you would like legacy to search for the file or browse for it yourself. I
must have about 500 of these!!

If I ask the legacy program to search for the missing picture - it
immediately searched the E drive [ an external back up drive] and will not
search the C drive, where the file is located. I have to then do it
manually.

I have been into options/locations and set all the defaults to read the C
drive, where the documents are stored. But, the legacy program search still
only wants to read the external E drive. If I disconnect the E drive, it
finds nothing at all.

Is there a setting that I am missing here?

Please help - this will take me weeks to get it all back to where it was. I
have over 6000 people on my data base.

Regards,

Mike Bridgeford
