For inconsequential changes like you mention, I agree with Mary 100%. The question I ask myself is "would someone on the LUG be able to duplicate my work?" If I answer yes, then I go with the "condensed" version. Only if I thought the group could not follow what I meant - if they were to read my work - would I consider using two separate citations.
