Thanks John. I don't remember to copy CD files to my computer before
trying to open them because I do it so infrequently. In a nut shell,
I've followed your instructions but, still, no luck.

After I copied the files to my hard drive, I checked to ensure Lill
Ann's read only attribute was not checked. Her file attributes for
archiving and indexed contents are checked.

The message I get is "Error opening db. Unrecognizable db format.
"C:\Users\Evon\Legacy\LillAnn 08 2002.fdb".

Lill Ann's file is 90,820KB. I'm thinking it is corrupt. Is there
anything I can do about that, if that's the problem?

Also, Lill Ann sent me three other files with the extensions CB, TC and
FG which I don't recognize. What software will open them, please?

Thanks, Yvonne
