Which is why I always find out the coordinates (latitude and longitude) using
another means. That is the way to do it is you want the exact coordinates of a
cemetery, church, house, etc., whether for Locations or for Addresses.

This is the problem with ALL of these third party mapping programs. They are
written for "Today's" World and in a lot of cases are useless.

I for one will use them for a "Guide" only not to be fact, when it comes to
older locations. I use more than one Family Research program and they all think
I do not know what I a typing in. Just ignore the ERROR and use them as a tool
to help locate the possible location.

I do NOT like the fact that these programs have dropped the usage of the likes
of "County", "Township" and etc.

Thanks,

I did that, went through all the "at the time" designations. They didn't work
well with any program. Since Legacy busily tells me county X wasn't in
existence at the time in question I have to assume it would balk at
Massachusetts Bay Colony too. I was using another program then. There would be
endless discussions about whether it should be America, British North America,
American Colonies, etc. I went back to USA.
