Your email client (I use Thunderbird) should have an option for character encoding. Mine is set to: Outgoing Mail: Western (ISO-8859-1) Incoming Mail: Unicode (UTF-8) This correctly translates and displays the characters correctly. Western (ISO-8859-1) appears to be understood correctly by all mail readers and the Unicode (UTF-8) appears to understand both, so far. -- Gene Young Researching Young, Harer, Cox & Sallada With Legacy Family Tree http://myyoungs.atspace.com/index.htm Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
