I've no experience with Scottish records. Their laws are very different to those applied by the Established Church in England and Wales. But to me, it looks like others have opined: an actual marriage followed by the recording of the marriage in the second parish. You should probably take this to a mailing list or newsgroup dealing with the interpretation of Scottish records. That deals with the generally OT Discussion. Now, back to how to handle the events in Legacy :-) Two events would be my solution. Pending more informed information about Scottish records, the 'normal' marriage and, as Ron ventured, an Alt. Marriage event. The second event can always be adjusted (read replaced) at a later time. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg (g) Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
