Hi Marion, There is no way to change the highlight colour.
But you can change the colour of the text for male and female by clicking on a child when in Colour Change Mode. I think you need to be viewing the children in columns rather than the scrolling grid to do this. But for me the text under the highlight goes white in all colour schemes I've tried. It's got nothing to do with the Design Style that only affects the colour and style of the Ribbon. The Tabs for Legacy Home/Family/Pedigree etc are controlled by the Options Ribbon Tab Style and Tab Colour. The colours for the rest of the screen are controlled by the Options Ribbon - Change Colours where you can choose another colour scheme entirely or adjust the one you are using by clicking on the bit of the screen you want to change. Some things are at other Interface options at Options - Customise section 9. Changing the background colour of the Scrolling grid can make the names hard to read. Would it help to make the font bigger?
