This process creates a Legacy database file that can then be merged with your
existing database file. Call this File A.

Open the current file and use "Save As" to save it as a separate file - a backup
of the original if you like. It should contain all the same references to images
and other files. Call this File b.

Now, take this copy of your original file (File B) and merge the cleaned-up
GEDCOM file (File A) with it.
