I know that I am regularly told when using auto merge that it doesn't work if the date is a whole year without month or day. It is often the case that as you go further back in time, a year may well be the nearest you can get to a confirmed date, with information from census returns, Wills, etc.
Is there any plan to make this an option when merging please? Surely if the names, parents, spouses, children and other facts are identical, the lack of a month or day attached to a year is acceptable for auto merge to cope with?
