If the last edited information is something you like to monitor, you can have it displayed in the family view.
Right-click in the labels (Born, Died, etc) for either the Husband or the Wife and choose "Customize". You can add the "Date Modified" to the list of fields to be displayed. I also like to display the "Age at Death".
