The idea of Master Source and Source Detail is that you can have one Master Source with many Source Details, attached to many different people/events/facts. One particular web page has one particular URL but you might want to cite different parts of that web page in different places. You would have one Master Source for the web page, giving the URL and the various Source Details would give particulars of what was relevant to each case. For example, the website might be FindAGrave but the Source Details might refer to entry # 12345 Joe Bloggs, entry 45678 Fanny Adams or entry #13579 Jane Doe. Three different citations but always the same URL which does not need to be repeated 3 times. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
