You confirmed that I'm not imagining things!

I like the step to create a temporary document file to use for copying between 
multiple Legacy screens.  I will follow this tip going forward.

 My strategy for overcoming that limitation of Legacy (and
 other programs) is
 to open a word processing page and paste the information I
 want to copy to
 my Legacy database. When I finish copying, I delete the word
 processor page
 and tell that program not to save that temporary file. One
 small step saves
 lots of frustration.
