Jenny, Thank you for your tips. I am now using M8 FreeClip and really like it. It solves the issues I was experiencing and will be very handy to use along side Legacy.

FreeClip has 2 columns - one showing temporary clips (when the column is full adding a new clip causes the oldest one to fall off the bottom) and the other for permanent clips, which can be named and edited. I use the temporary column for anything I want to copy and paste into Legacy from websites/documents/etc. I use the other column for storing the dates of UK Censuses, frequently repeated (in Sourcing) phrases and "templates" for all the regular transcriptions into Source Detail Text, such as BMD Certificates, Parish Registers and so on. http://m8software.com/index.htm (No commercial connection, just a very satisfied user.) -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
