Yes, I’m talking about the pop-up information boxes and I do have customization
1.7 set to pop up automatically in 8 tenths of a second.
It doesn’t work. I tried changing that number up and down 1 or 2 digits and it
didn’t help.

I went through my customization list from version 7.5 and made sure I had all
the appropriate choices ticked in version 8 with the idea that everything would
be to my liking.

I really hope there is a solution to this.

Kathy,

Are you speaking of the popup information boxes? If so, please check
customization 1.7 as the default setting is off. You will need to turn on this
setting.

I’m trying to learn the Legacy 8 deluxe features and I noticed that the pop-up
information boxes do not work in “family view”.

I really depended on that feature a lot in previous versions. It made it so
quick to check if anything was missing from an individual and you could click
on the edit button if changes were needed. Now I have to move that person to
the main person in order to see what I have and/or add a birth date or source,
or whatever. It really slows things down when I have a list of children and I
have to keep moving each individual to the main window to see if everything is
as I want it.

The pop-up information boxes work in pedigree view so it makes me wonder if I’m
missing some setting. I checked the help file, and I have the little box to
show pop-up boxes checked in the list of customised options.

If that feature isn’t working, I hope they get it implemented very soon.
