Legacy seems to be very flexible; I have no difficulties to report about “Person who never married”.
However, as a trial*, I edited the data for a never-married, no-children relative and saved (I did not edit in the marriage window/section), and after the save Legacy popped up an error (approximate wording) “Marriage 55 does not exist”. This has had no repercussions, and doesn’t concern me at all – possibly Legacy software creates/created/expected a marriage and it has been “removed”. A minor internal software error. * I say trial, but it was actually to correct my omission of that status, and the current display of “No relationships and had no children” is fine by me.
