This looks like the classic hidden window problem. The source detail
screen is opening but it is not visible because it may be behind the
Legacy window or may be outside the boundaries of your monitor. Some
things you can try to make that hidden window appear:
1: Tap the Alt key, if the screen is behind the legacy window that may
bring it to the top and make it visible.
2. Hold down Alt and tap the space bar. That will open a Windows
generated menu on the active (source detail) window. If the Source
Detail window is outside your monitor boundaries then menu will show up
at the side of the monitor where the lost window is located. Choose move
from the menu and your mouse pointer will change to a four-point arrow.
Use the arrow keys to move that menu toward the centre of your monitor
and you should see the "missing" screen move into view. When it is
positioned correctly hit enter to exit the move mode.
3. If you have multiple monitors make sure they are all on. The source
detail screen may be on the screen of a monitor which is off.

Jenny - Look for the task view icon at the bottom of your PC screen.
It usually is on the left side right after the magnifying glass icon.
Clicking on it will show all the open programs you are using. You can
then click on the program you want to see.

I hope someone help before I tear my hair out! The fact that I know
the problem is my own fault doesn't help!
Far too frequently, I start the process to add an image to a Source
Citation, then realise I haven't yet saved it from IrfanView and I
switch to IV WITHOUT closing the open image dialog.
Then I can't get back to it!
No amount of tabbing will show the dialog box - only the main Legacy
window shows. SOMETIMES I can find it by progressively minimising
each window I have open, but not always. Very often I just have to
crash out of Legacy to escape this situation. Then getting an error
message telling me I should have closed the topmost form first just
makes me madder!
How do I find this illusive dialog box?
