If some of your data is missing, the most likely thing is that you've
opened a different file.
The idea of bringing in data from a gedcom backup from 2004 sounds silly
if the data was there recently. What's wrong with the last Legacy backup?
Very very occasionally there are clashes with other programs that can
cause a list to look empty apparently. I've not seen this myself. Some
get it on some lists with TeamViewer running.
The other reason data goes missing is that for some reason you delete it
or it was Private data and you exported to a new file without overriding
Privacy settings.
