The two icons in the Legacy folder should be one to execute the program and
the other uninstalls the program. There should be no other Legacy
(Shield)icons.

I would move or copy the data and pictures folders to a temp directory.
Uninstall the program and then delete the Legacy folder from your HD. Empty
the recycle bin. Reboot your computer and reinstall Legacy and then move or
copy your data and picture folder back to your Legacy folder.

I suspect that maybe a hidden dll has gotten corrupted and this will refresh
everything. Make sure that you do not delete your data and picture folders
though.

I did exactly what you suggested here, and it did not work either. I even
went into My Computer and went into the Legacy folder on the hard drive and
saw there were two icons (Coats of Arms), one for Legacy and the other one
for Legacy40. I tried both and still got the welcome message to the update.

I am wondering if the file is simply not there. In other words, the update
is not attaching itself to anything even though I get a message saying it
has been successfully installed.
