I'm not seeing this as an event. I'm seeing it as research. I'm saying
something like - Here are the 1871 census details for the family. Notice
that Emma is called Emily in this census and it has her born in Aughton
instead of Scarisbrick as on the 1861 census. John is missing but I found
him elsewhere married with a family of his own. Ann is missing - possibly
married by this time, but where is 6 year old Jane. I thought she might have
been staying with her grandparents, but I can't find her - and so on----

Do you get the idea? It's not just the census event, but research notes,
following my line of thought - saying that I've looked for this person or
whatever and it relates to the whole family, not just for one person. It's
not really a To-Do either is it, although a To-Do may follow from it.

I've had some very interesting ideas in the feedback from the list. I'm
still working my way through their ideas. Thank you all for your interest.
Patricia
