Ron,

You can always download the Legacy5Setup.exe file and then rename it to
LegacyNew.exe (case sensitive) and then you can redirect the installation to
any folder you wish.

The only time the Legacy5Setup.exe file verifies where you want to install
Legacy is with the initial install. After that, it goes to your existing
folder (at least is supposed to!)

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Installing upgrade April 14th

Some decent thinking from Gordon, thanks. You're probably right that one
oughta just let apps install in their chosen default locations, but I'm from
the old school were we made our own decisions about how we wanted to
organize our computer files. Upgrading to XP and having to endure
"\Documents and Settings\...\...\" continues to drive me crazy(er!)

My current Legacy is from 26 October 2004. I would mention that up until
trying to do this 14 April Build, Legacy always gave the option for "where",
and/or also always found the existing Legacy program set within "\program
files\"and built the upgrades in that existing folder.

So I'm still asking for a workaround to install the 14 April Build into my
usual folder, and thus avoid redoing all my custom settings. Please?

RonKZ
