Hi Lynn I started with my family history, using Legacy version 6, about six weeks ago. I quickly discovered how much the Delux version would help me further. One important difference is the creation of PDF files.
After I had captured data I wanted family members to verify it. In version 6 standard, one can only copy and paste one page at time should one want to e-mail it. It is time consuming, especially if it is a lengthy report. With the Delux version one can create a PDF file of the whole report at once and e-mail it. The recipients may, for instance read it using Adobe. It is a download. In fact you already have it in the basic edition but you need to go onto the Legacy web site to pay and obtain the key to unlock it. It has just occurred to me that if you got it off a magazine disk you may have version 5, so you may wish to download version 6 first. If you do not have broadband it is big download! The research options in the UK (I also live in the UK) are limited but having said that the IGI Search is excellent (I think this is only available on the delux). I have no experience of the training videos so perhaps someone else can help here.
