OSX isn't supported because no one wants to support it, rather because
there isn't anyone here knows *how* to.

There was a thread a few months ago from someone who found, for them,
a better than usual method for installing and running Leo on a mac. If
memory serves it used something called Homebrew.

That aside, the central point of this thread that reducing the
friction in getting Leo installed and running on new system is a good
idea remains salient.
