That's curious. Other than console messages I thought there was zero
functional difference between the two. I think there is something else at
play here.

Works for me, Win7 x64, Py & Qt 3.2 (32bit). Not a virgin machine though so
it doesn't rule out that I've another dependency or something satisfied
from something outside what the installer does.


FIX SUGGESTION:

Final does lag far enough behind the development builds, which have been
90% stable for me thus far (a couple years), that this idea has merit.
Fixing the stable build installer & release system comes up from time to
time but no one with the skills has volunteered to do the work (those that
do, don't have "the itch", the dev releases are easy enough).

The existing Step 6 of the Installing Leo On Windows link you noted is
simpler. I don't see what this longer procedure corrects.
