It was removed on purpose because it didn't fit in with the other buttons in the toolbar it was in. Now I think it can go in the Time toolbar instead so I've checked in a change that adds those buttons again.
There's no support for sub-models, I've tried a couple of things but didn't like how it turned out. It's high on my priority list, I just need to come up with something I think makes sense.
